Travel-South America

South America is fast becoming a travel alternative for many people who would previously hit New Zealand for their travel plans. Many New Zealand adventure tourism companies have been surprised at how quickly their competitor companies from other up and coming travel destinations are catching onto the New Zealand way of tourism. Many of these travel agencies knew that they had some competition but had no idea until recent tourism summits that they were coming up on the industry quick and furious.

The United States has long ranked as one of New Zealand’s top markets for tourists interested in exotic travel. South America is quickly becoming an alternative for these travel-minded Americans since it is a cheap travel and closer to the states and has started to copy many of the services and deals offered by New Zealand.

Many of the new services springing out of South American companies can offer Americans the same resources they can get through New Zealand, but yet these new companies often have more resources even. American travel seekers are not only seeking great scenery and mediocre entertainment. Travel has become more exotic and adventurous and many people want more for their travel dollars.

While New Zealand companies are not exactly challenged to the point of being pushed out of the American travel market, they have been put on official notice that they are not the only travel option out there for adventure and exotic trip seekers from the states. These New Zealand companies will have to reanalyze where they stack up in the world market of tourism and take further steps according to this rising demand for other travel opportunities. How New Zealand compares with the adventure travel sector as a whole is changing, and faster than many companies expected.

New Zealand is still one of the top premiere travel destinations for adventure travel seekers, and it has been widely recognized as such at current industry gatherings. Yet it remains pure fact that other travel destinations such as South American companies are catching on to how the industry works and will be giving New Zealand a run for its travel industry dollars in the future, especially for travel seekers from the United States.

Some companies from these lesser travel destinations have plans in place that they feel will put them in the running for more of the travel dollars flowing from the states in the future. They have been watching how New Zealand attracts these adventure travel seekers and are catching onto New Zealand tactics and strategies very quick.

New Zealand companies are now well aware that they have to step it up with new offerings to American adventure travel seekers if they do not want to lose too much of their current business in this travel market sector. The fact remains that most of the adventure options that travel seekers find in New Zealand can also be found in South America, and once that word gets out New Zealand will have to really step up their strategies for this market.
